Yaz is a combined oral contraceptive containing ethinyl estradiol and drospirenone. It is used for contraception and may also be prescribed for the treatment of moderate acne in women.

 

Uses:
• Prevention of pregnancy with drospirenone
• Yaz can Treat moderate acne in women for who desire contraception.

 

How it Works: Yaz prevents pregnancy by inhibiting ovulation, altering cervical mucus to impede sperm penetration, and affecting the endometrial lining.

 

Dosage:
• Yaz can be taken once daily, with or without food.
• Start on the first day of menstrual cycle or on first Sunday after the onset of menstruation.
