Rivaroxaban 10mg tablets are used for the prevention and treatment of blood clots in the body. it also reduces the risk of strokes and heart attacks. The prevention and treatment of blood clots is done through veins of the legs, brain, lungs and heart. The tablets come under the brand name of Xarelto in the market.

 

How it works?

Rivaroxaban 10mg tablets fall under the category of novel oral anticoagulant (NOAC).  The medication works by preventing clot formation in the body. the production of clots is decreased by the usage of Xarelto tablets.

 

Measures and precautions

  1. Consume the rivaroxaban 10mg tablets as directed by the doctor. The duration and dose should be recommended by the doctor.
  2. Do not consume these tablets without the concerned doctor’s prescription and guidance.
  3. Do not chew or crush the tablet. Do swallow the whole with water.
  4. The Xarelto tablets are taken with food. They are food dependent.
