Lidocaine 9.6% w/w spray available by brand name Stud-100 (international) and Stud-1000 (national) is a spray that delays the time of ejaculation

Uses:

Lidocaine 9.6% w/w spray is a local anaesthetic that numb the tissues of the area where applied. When applied on the erect genital, it reduces the sensitivity during the foreplay and intercourse. This in turn helps in preventing premature ejaculation which means the spray increases the average time of ejaculation.

 

Directions for use:

Amount of Stud-100 to e applied and the timing varies between individuals.

  • Twist the cap to flip open it with the help of a key or coin.
  • Spray 3 times (not more than 10 times) to the head and shaft of the penis 5 to 15 minutes before sexual intercourse.
  • Wash or wipe thoroughly after intercourse.

 

Side effects:

Stud-1000 does not cause any serious side effect. However some people may experience:

  • Rash
  • Irritation
  • Burning
  • Itching

All these conditions do not require any medical attention as they disappear on their own.             However it is advisable that if you or your partner experiences any of these symptoms, do not use the spray and consult the doctor.

 

Precautions and measures:

Although there are no serious side effects of Lidocaine 9.6% w/w spray but precautionary measures need to be taken such as:

  • Do not use the spray if you are allergic or sensitive to the ingredients in the spray.
  • Do not use Stud-1000 if the skin of erect genital is broken or has cuts.
  • If your partner is pregnant, the use of spray is not recommended at all as it may harm the foetus.
  • Inform your doctor if you had/have any kidney or liver problems as the local anaesthetic may have harmful effect.
  • Do not spray in eyes and do not inhale.
  • The amount of spray must not exceed 24 times in 24 hours.
  • Do not spray for more than 10 times at once.
