Dosage

- Recommended dosage for high cholesterol- 5 to 40 mg once per day.
- Recommended dosage for genetic high cholesterol- 40 mg once per day.
- Recommended dosage for patients suffering from severe renal impairment- 5 mg once per day.
- Simvastatin 5mg, 10mg, 20mg Tablets are taken orally, usually once daily at any time as per your convenience, however, the evening is advised.
- It can be taken after having a meal or on an empty stomach.

Precautions
- Simvastatin 5mg, 10mg, 20mg Tablets should not be taken if you have an allergy to any of the ingredients it contains. Do not forget to let your doctor know about it.
- Before taking this drug, tell your doctor about all your medical history including the medications you use and any vitamins.
- Some patients may also experience hypersensitivity to Simcard.
- If you have any liver, heart or kidney disease, it is necessary that you tell your doctor about them.
- These tablets are contraindicated to pregnant or nursing mothers. It may cause harm to the unborn foetus or may pass in milk while breastfeeding.
- Before beginning the treatment of this drug, you must tell your doctor if you are addicted to alcohol. High alcohol intake during its consumption increases the risk of liver problems.
- Keep this medication away from kids.
