EstradiolValerate 1 mg, 2 mg tablets available by brand name Progynova 1 mg, 2 mg tablets is a type of hormone replacement therapy (HRT).

Uses:

EstradiolValerate1 mg, 2 mg tablets is a sex hormone of female namely estrogen. It works by replacing the hormone estradiol which is further notproduced by the body. Various uses of the drug are:

• To treat the symptoms of menopause such as hot flushes, irritation, sweating, disturbed sleep, vaginal dryness or itching.
• For the treatment of estrogendeficiency.
• For the treatment of osteoporosis.

 

Dosage:

One tablet of Progynova 1 mg, 2 mg should be taken daily. The medicine can be taken before or after having food. The medicine should be used for short-term. Your doctor willadvice you as to how long you have to use this medicine.

For better results do not skip the medicine. Swallow the medicine as a whole with water. Avoid chewing or crushing the medicine.

 

Caution:

EstradiolValerate 1 mg, 2 mg tablets is not a contraceptive pill. It will not prevent pregnancy.

• Inform your doctor if you suffer from migraine as the drug may make your condition worse.
• Let your doctor know if you are on any other medication or going to start new medicine.
• Medicine may interrupt with the laboratory test. Inform the doctor before that you are using the medicine.
• Inform your doctor if you have high blood pressure, liver, heart or kidney disease.
• Inform your doctor if you have a history of angioedema.
• Let your doctor know if you had/have blood clot in the legs or lungs as the drug may worsen the condition.
