Chloramphenicol 0.4% Eye Drops with brand name Chloromycetin 0.4% Eye Drops and Paraxin 0.4% Eye Drops (international) and Paraxin 0.4% Eye Drops (national, is a topical antibiotic.

Uses:

Chloromycetin 0.4% eye drops is used to treat serious bacterial infections. The medicine is capable of fighting gram-negative bacteria that causes infections such as meningitis and rickettsia and cannot be treated with some other antibiotic.

 

Dosage:

Dosage of Paraxin 0.4% eye drops varies depending on the age and weight of the patient. The dosage generally given is as follows:

• 2 drops to be administered in the affected eye.

 

Side effects:

Side effects caused by Chloramphenicol 0.4% eye drops do not require any medical attention. Major side effects are seen in rare cases. But you need to consult your doctor if any of the symptoms persists.
