Purpose

Levodopa200mg + Benserazide 50mg Tablets is internationally known as Madopar and have a generic brand name of Madopar 250.  The tablets are used for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. The tablets contains antiparkinson agents that acts on the brain and replace the disease causing agents.  The symptoms of Parkinson disease can be decreased with the application of Madopar 250.

 

How it works?

Madopar tablets belongs to antiparkinson agents that act on the brain cells.  It have two active ingredients: levodopa and Beserazide.  These ingredients act on the brain cells and maintain the proper functioning of it.  Madopar 250 also helps in improving muscle movements of the body.

 

Measures and precautions

  1. Levodopa200mg + benserazide 50mg Tablets are taken as directed by the concerned doctor. The dose should not be increased or decreased without doctor’s consultation.
  2. The recommended dose for this medication is one capsule or tablet of 50/12.5 mg. the medicine is taken three or four times a day for good results.
  3. Levodopa200mg + benserazide 50mg Tabletsshould not be given to the patients below the age group of 25 years. The medicine is not good for them.
  4. Avoid administering other drugs with the consumption of madopar250 The interactions can be harmful.
  5. Do not crush or chew the tablets. Swallow the whole with water in one go.
  6. The consumption of these levodopa200mg + benserazide 50mg tablets should be discontinued when pregnancy is diagnosized. However, it is safe for breast-feeding women.
  7. Patients with liver and kidney malfunctions should not use the levodopo tablets, as they have bad affect on them.
  8. If the allergies and side-effects persist for longer time, then the doctor should be reported. No delay should be done for that.
