Details

Eszopiclone 1mg, 2mg, 3mg Tablets are sleep aids. They are categorized under sedative and hypnotic drugs. It is a pyrrolopyrazine derivative. Eszopiclone is a light-yellow crystalline solid which is slightly soluble in water. In Indian pharmacies, it is known by the name of Hypnite. Internationally, it is available under the brand name Lunesta.

Purpose:

• Treats sleep problem of insomnia.
• It helps you sleep faster and for longer.
• It reduces the frequency of how often you wake up in the middle of your sleep.
• Eszopiclone 1mg, 2mg, 3mg Tablets act on the brain to produce a calming effect.
• These tablets slow down the activity of the nerve cells in the brain and help fall asleep faster.

Dosage:

• Strictly as prescribed by your doctor/physician.
• Treatment should not exceed more than a month.
• The dose should gradually decrease by the time the treatment comes to an end.
• If you are experiencing transient sleeplessness, the recommended dosage for effective results is one tablet every evening for 2-5 days.
• If you are experiencing short-lived sleeplessness, the recommended dosage for effective results is one tablet every evening for 2-3 weeks.
• The initial dose of Lunesta should be 1 mg and can gradually increase to 2 mg or 3 mg as per clinical indication.
• In elderly people, the dose of Hypnite should not exceed 2 mg a day.

Side effects:

• Common side effects of Eszopiclone 1mg, 2mg, 3mg Tablets are dizziness, dry mouth, difficulty in coordination, unpleasant state, or confusion.
• It can make you sleepy during the day. Inform your doctor if you experience daytime drowsiness.
• If serious side effects such as itching, trouble in breathing, symptoms of serious allergy, or severe dizziness occur due to the consumption of Hypnite, visit your doctor right away before the situation worsens.
• Abnormal thinking

• Convulsions and seizures
• Anxiety
• Depression
• Hallucinations
• Viral infection
• Headache
• Decreased libido

Precautions and measures:

• If you’ve had a medical history of depression, liver disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, suicidal thoughts, sleepwalking, myasthenia gravis, or drug abuse before starting with Eszopiclone 1mg, 2mg, 3mg Tablets.
• It is advised to take the tablets 30-45 minutes before you’re going to bed and when you can take sleep for 7-8 hours.
• Report to your doctor if within 7-10 days of Hypnite, the condition shows no betterment.
• Don’t drive or do any other work that requires practical attention, as dizziness might land you into serious problems.
• During pregnancy, it should only be consumed when necessary. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.

People with hepatic impairment require no dosage adjustment for Eszopiclone tablets.
