Somatropin Injection is a growth hormone supplement. It is also used for increasing height in children with certain deficiency. Humatrope is its universal brand name under which it is available. It is a lyophilized white coloured powder.
Purpose:

Mechanism:
Somatropin Injection is a highly purified preparation. It is synthesised in Escherichia coli. This injection replicates the activity of HGH in the body, which is produced in the pituitary gland.
Dosage:
- The dosage is based as per the physical examination and blood analysis, age, weight, health condition and deficiency of the patient.
- However, the initial dosage can begin at 0.2mg per day for 6-7 weeks.
