Eszopiclone 1mg, 2mg tablets belong to the categories of Sleep Aids, Hypnotics and Sedatives and are used for treating or improving insomnia. It is available by the name of Lunesta all over the world and in India, its common brand name is Fulnite.

Uses

  • Lunesta generally reduces sleep onset time and also frequent awakening at night.
  • This medicine mostly improves sleep maintenance and therefore ensures sound sleep.

 

Dosage

  • Eszopiclone 1mg, 2mg tablets are habit forming tablets. Therefore, it must be taken in the dose and timing as advised and prescribed by your doctor.
  • Fulnite Tablet should only be taken on an empty stomach and usually before going to bed.
  • However, it is generally advised to take it at the same time each day as this will help to maintain a balance in the level of medicine in the body.

  • Eszopiclone 1mg, 2mg tablets are CNS depressant that can impair daytime function in some patients at the higher doses, even when they are used as prescribed.
  • Patients should be monitored regularly as this medication may cause depressant effects that are not easily detected by ordinary clinical tests.
  • Additive effects occur with extreme use of other CNS depressants while also including daytime use.

 

Precautions

  • Rare cases of angioedema can be seen in some people involving the tongue, glottis or larynx.
  • Consult your doctor or professional therapist before taking this medicine if you are suffering from any liver or kidney problems.
  • You should avoid smoking and alcohol altogether while using this medicine.
