The injection comes in an international brand name of Arixtra and an Indian brand name of Fondaflo.  This medication helps in preventing the formation of blood clots in the blood vessels of a user.

How does it work?

Arixtra injection is an anticoagulant that stops the action of clotting factor Xa in the user’s blood. This way, the formation of clots is prevented and hence, the treatment is done.  In the user’s body, the unwanted clots are prevented by this injection, so that the user can be treated well.

Measures and Precautions

1. Fondaparinux 7.5mg injection is used to prevent clots in people who have experienced knee or hip replacement surgeries in their lives. It is also helpful in such patients who have been bedridden for a long time. In both cases, the medication is helpful.
2. The doses of Fondaflo injection are given under the strict supervision of the doctor. Do not try to self-administer it.
3. In the case of patients suffering from liver disease, the doses should be adjusted by the doctor with full caution.
4. When the medicine is taken for regular time, then only it shows good signs of improvement. Always complete the whole course of Fondaflo injection for better results.
5. If you miss any dose of the injection, then do take it as soon as possible. However, in some cases, when the time of the dose has been skipped, then do take the next dose.
6. However, it is seen that the usage of this injection increases the chances of bleeding, but it is manageable. Let the doctor know about your conditions if the situation turns worse.
