Finasteride 1mg tablets help in the treatment of hair loss. This medication is to be only taken by adult men undergoing baldness. It is known as Propecia internationally, while in India, it is available under the brand name Finpecia.

How does it work?

This medication usually works by decreasing the amount of a natural body hormone called DHT (Dihydrotestosterone). Decreasing the amount of DHT level leads to increased hair regrowth and eventually slower hair loss. Hair growth on any other part of the body is not affected by Finasteride 1mg tablets.

 

Dosage

  • Finpecia can be administered with or without taking meals.
  • The recommended dose of this tablet is one tablet (1 mg) daily.
  • Generally, regular use of this drug for three months or more is absolutely necessary before any benefits are observed.
  • The dosage is reevaluated periodically. Withdrawal of this treatment may lead to the reversal of this effect within 12 months.

  • Loss of interest while having or before sex

Serious side effects:

  • Nipple discharge
