Etizolam Powder marketed with brand names Etizolam powder (international) and Etizolam API (national) is a benzodiazepine analogue. It has sleep aid, hypnotic and sedative properties.

Uses:

Etizolam powder has properties that provide a soothing sensation to the body. It is used for:

  • For the treatment of short-term insomnia (sleeplessness).
  • For the treatment of short-term anxiety disorders.

 

Dosage:

Dosage of Etizolam API differs according to the disorder to be treated and tolerance power of an individual. It is consumed orally. General dosage given to the patients is:

  • For treating insomnia- 1 to 2 mg daily
  • For treating anxiety- 0.25 to 0.5 mg two times daily
  • For treating panic disorders- 0.5 mg two times daily

 

Caution:

Etizolam powder is for short term usage. It should not be prescribed beyond 12 weeks.
