Nandrolone 25mg, 50mg, 100mg Injection is an androgen and anabolic steroids which is used for treating osteoporosis (disease of bone making it weak and brittle). It is mostly known by the name Deca-Durabolin in the world.

Uses:

• It is used to reduce arthralgia (pain in limbs).
• Deca-Durabolin is also used in the treatment of anaemia.

 

How does the drug work?

Nandrolone 25mg, 50mg, 100mg Injection is an androgenic receptor showing agonistic action. So, when you administer a drug it acts on the androgenic receptor and binds to a nucleotide sequence in the DNA and shows its effects by strengthening the weak bones. It is an extensively  used drug under the class of androgen and anabolic steroids and it shows the effects of male hormones due to the presence of androgen receptors.

 

Dosage:

• Deca-Durabolin is given a subcutaneous route of injection. The dose of the drug depends on the condition of the patient, age and gender, therefore, it varies in children, adults and elderly people.
• The minimum dose given is 25mg for every 2 to 3 weeks.
• The dose of the drug is adjusted by the doctor and given under his guidance. The patient should be thoroughly monitored.
• Don’t panic if you miss the dose. You can administer if you are not nearer to your other dose. Please note that you shouldn’t take two doses of the drug in the same time period.

 

Side Effects:

• Deca-Durabolin includes side effects such as oedema ( swelling in the body), diarrhoea, nausea, headache.
• You can also have symptoms like increased acne scars, growth of unwanted hair, voice change etc.,
• Metrorrhagia, depression, unbearable cramps, enlarged breasts can be seen in women which are rare. If they exist for a long time then consult your physician.
• Painful priapism is observed in rare conditions.

 

Contraindications:

• Consult your doctor if you have sensitiveness to the drug Nandrolone 25mg, 50mg, 100mg Injection.
• The drug is avoided in pregnancy as it causes some harmful effects to the foetus.
• There are no proper studies that alcohol affects the drug. If you have a habit of drinking alcohol then consult your physician regarding this.
• If you are diagnosed with any kind of liver abnormalities or inflammation then you should refrain from the use of Nandrolone 25mg, 50mg, 100mg Injection.
• If you are a lactating mother then take precautionary advice from the doctor as there are no studies till now showing that these drugs affect the baby.
