Purpose

Crizotinib 250mg capsules are used to treat certain types of lung cancer prevalent in humans.  The medication falls under the category of anti-cancer medicines. It comes under the international brand name of Xalkori and in Indian or generic brand name of Crizalk.

 

How does it work?

The Crizalk capsules work by slowing down or stopping the rapid growth of lung cancer cells in the user’s body.  The medication belongs to the category of kinase inhibitors. The capsules of Xalkori inhibit the further growth of lung cancer cells by binding with it.

 

Measures and precautions

  1. Read all the instructions carefully, before consuming the capsules.
  2. Consume the crizotinib 250mg capsules orally with or without food as instructed by the doctor. The capsules are usually taken once or twice a day according to the doctor.
  3. Do not chew or break the Crizalk Do swallow the whole capsule with water in one go.
  4. Take the medication at a regular time as per the doctor’s instructions. Do not try to overdose with capsules, as they are harmful to the body.
  5. The dosage of crizotinib 250mg capsules is purely based on the patient’s medical condition, response towards the medicine, and side-effects, etc.
