Purpose
Chlorambucil 2mg, 5mg tablets are used for the treatment of certain types of cancers like lymphoma, leukemia. The medication has an international brand name of Leukeran and an Indian brand name of clokeran.
How does it work?
Leukerantablets belong to the category of alkylating agents. These tablets work by slowing or stopping the further multiplication of cancer cells in the host body. the alkylating agent in the drug helps in this process.
Measures and precautions
- Chlorambucil 2mg, 5mg tablets are prescribed by the doctor for controlling the growth of cancer cells.
- Clokeran tablets are taken through the mouth as instructed by the concerned doctor.
- It is recommended to consume the tablets once a day with plenty of fluids to prevent any chances of side-effects.
