Ciprofloxacin 100 mg, 250 mg, 500 mg, 750 mg tablets available by brand names Ciproxin 100 mg, 250 mg, 500 mg, 750 mg tablets (international) and Cifran100 mg, 250 mg, 500 mg, 750 mg tablets (national) is an antibiotic which belongs to the class quinolone.

Uses:

Ciproxin 100 mg, 250 mg, 500 mg, 750 mg tablets are used only to treat various bacterial infections. The medicine is not effective in case of viral infections. Overuse of the medicine may lead to anti-microbial resistance.

 

Dosage:

Dosage of Ciprofloxacin 100 mg, 250 mg, 500 mg, 750 mg tablets vary depending upon the type of bacterial infection to be treated.

• Acute sinusitis- 500 mg taken orally in every 12 hours.
• Chronic bacterial prostatitis- 500 mg taken orally in every 12 hours.
• Bone/ joint injection- 500 mg/ 750 mg taken orally in every 12 hours.
• Diarrhoea- 500 mg taken orally in every 12 hours.
• Respiratory tract infections- 500 mg/ 750 mg taken orally in every 12 hours.
• Pneumonia- 400 mg in every 8-10 hours.
• Skin infections- 500 mg/ 750 mg taken orally in every 12 hours.
