Hyoscine Butylbromide 7.5 mg, 10 mg suspension is an antispasmodic agent used to relive pain in the muscles. It comes in solution for injecting into the veins.

Uses:

Buscopan 7.5 mg, 10 mg suspension is a colourless or almost colourless solution available in ampoules. Its various uses are:

• For the treatment of pain caused due to smooth muscle spasm.
• For curing irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
• For relieving the caused due to cramps in stomach, intestines, bladder and ureter.

 

Dosage:

Dose to be administered differs in different age groups.

• Adults: 20mg/ml (one ampoule of injection) should be administered intravenously. This dose can be repeated after half an hour if required. But maximum dose to be administered in a day is limited to 100 mg.
• Children: Buscopan 5 mg, 10 mg suspension is not recommended for paediatric usage. But for the use in rare case, cause of abdominal pain should first be analysed. Hyoscine Butylbromide 7.5 mg, 10 mg suspension should not be used on daily basis in case of children.
• Elders: Although not much information is available for the use of Buscopan 5 mg, 10 mg suspension in this age group but no harm has been reported.

 

Side effects:

There are no serious side effects of Hyoscine Butylbromide 7.5 mg, 10 mg suspension. But you need to see your doctor if the effects persists.

• Constipation
• Blurred vision
• Pupil dilation
• Elevated heart rate
• Allergic reactions
• Skin rashes/redness
• Dizziness

Storage:

Storage conditions of Hyoscine Butylbromide 7.5 mg, 10 mg suspension are:

• Store below 30 degree centigrade
• Keep away from children.
• Use immediately once opened and discord the unused solution.
