Aztreonam 500mg, 1gm, 2gm Injection belongs to the category of a class of Monobactams. The injection is used for the treatment of:

How does it work?

Measures and Precautions

  1. Aztinam injection can be used with or without any other medications for the infected persons.
  2. The Injection is used in severe cases of bacterial infections. It is only used when the infection is caused by highly susceptible bacteria.
  3. This medication is indicated for adjunctive therapy and surgery problems and in the management of infections caused by susceptible organisms like abscesses, cutaneous infections, infections of serous surfaces.
  4. The usual dose of the Aztreonam 500mg, 1gm, 2gm Injection comes is 500mg, 400mg, and 100mg.
  5. The dose of the Aztinam injection is based on the presence of the causative agents of the infections. It also depends on the severity of the infections one is experienced.
  6. After the identification of the susceptibility of the causative agent, appropriate antibiotic therapy should be continued with the medicine.
  7. For the consumption of the injection, the intravenous route is only recommended. Here, the single doses are required by the users in a greater amount of 1g or more.
  8. Pregnant women and breastfeeding women should not get the infusions of the Aztreonam 500mg, 1gm, 2gm Injection. This can harm the body of the infants and the unborn baby.
  9. Aztinam injection is available in the single-use vial which is stored in the refrigerator and away from the reach of small kids.
  10. Generally, the medication should be continued for a minimal 48 hours after the user has become asymptomatic. However, persistent infections require treatment for several weeks.
