Purpose

Everolimus 5mg, 10mg tablets are used in the treatment of

  • Breast cancer
  • Advanced neuroendocrine tumors
  • Renal cell carcinoma
  • Renal angiomyolipoma
  • Subsequent giant cell astrocytoma

The medication comes under the international brand name of votubia and an Indian brand name of Afinitor.

 

How does it work?

Votubia tablets belong to the category of drugs called antineoplastics, mTOR kinase inhibitors. It inhibits the growth of the cancer cells in the host body and helps in treating the symptoms of diseases.

 

Measures and precautions

  1. Everolimus 5mg, 10mg tablets is a prescription drug that is prescribed with or without other medications.
  2. Afinitor tablets are not safe with children younger than one year of age. In that case, the usage is prohibited.
  3. There are two recommended doses of Afinitor tablets: 5mg and 10mg.
  4. The dosage depends on the medical conditions of the patients.
  5. Read carefully the instructions before consuming the everolimus 5mg, 10mg tablets.
  6. Do not increase or decrease the dose of Afinitor tablets by yourselves. This can harm your body.
