Abraxane
Drug Name: Paclitaxel Nanoparticles 100mg Injection
Details
Paclitaxel Nanoparticles 100mg Injection is a Cell Cycle-Specific (CCS) anticancer drug belonging to group taxanes.
It acts on the mitosis phase of the tumor cell.
It is an albumin-bound paclitaxel nanoparticle formulation.
It is effective against a broad range of solid tumors and does not require premedication for hypersensitivity reactions unlike paclitaxel.
Mechanism of action:it acts as a mitotic spindle poison and binds to microtubules leading to tubulin polymerization. This results in inhibition of mitosis and cell division of cancer cells.
