Nivolumab 40mg, 100mg injection is famous for its anti-cancer ingredients. It is used for the treatment of advanced-stage lung cancers and small cell lung cancers in the human population.

The injection is also used in the treatment of:

  • When cancer has come back and has spread into the body of the host.
  • When the host has undergone 3 or more transplants in a period
  • in the treatment of skin cancer called as melanomas

The injection comes in the international brand name of Opdivo and an Indian brand name of Opdyta in the pharma market.  The treatment of cancer is done with this injection.

 

How does it work?

The ingredient in the injection is nivolumab which is a death receptor called PD-1 blocking antibody. It binds with the cancerous cells and makes them inactive.

  1. Nivolumab 40mg, 100mg injection may or may not be used all alone for the curing process. To treat melanoma, it can be paired with ipilimumab for better results.
